Board of Adjustment

About the Board

The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body that hears appeals for variances from the zoning regulations. The board also serves as a building board of review and may resolve differences in the interpretation of the building codes. The board consists of five members and one alternate who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. One of the board members also sits on the Planning Commission. One member represents the zoning jurisdiction and resides outside the city limits.
